The room

Built for families and friends who travel together, the Twin Pines rooms put two queen beds under the eaves with a long gear bench and hooks that hold wet layers without a fight.

Parents tell us the same thing every winter: the hard part is not the skiing, it is the staging. So these rooms have a six-foot bench by the door, twelve hooks, a boot dryer that takes four pairs, and a bathroom with a double vanity so nobody queues at seven in the morning.

The beds face a window that looks south over the meadow towards the ridge, which turns pink about twenty minutes before sunset in February. There is a small round table with two chairs, useful for breakfast brought up from Timberline Table, and a sofa chair that is genuinely comfortable to read in.

Connecting doors link six of the Twin Pines rooms in pairs, so a group of eight can take two rooms with a door between them. Ask the front desk when you book and we will hold them together.
